Other Japanese companies are claiming to be the official administrative offices of the Romanian Faculty of Medicine; is this true?

Please note that no medical schools in Romania have an official office in Japan, nor do any universities have partnerships with Japanese agencies.
Are there any students who have been accepted to or enrolled in the National University of Carol da Vila with MSA's support?

In recent years, there have been five successful candidates in 2025. Additionally, there was one successful candidate each in 2016, 2021, and 2022 (the 2021 candidate went on to attend another university). Furthermore, there was one graduate in 2022 (Yasuyuki Takagi).
I'm taking entrance exams and admissions assessments at another administrative office, but if I pass those, will that mean I've passed the entrance exam for medical school in Romania?
- No. The entrance exams and admissions screenings for the medical school you are applying to are conducted by the Romanian university you are applying to. Please note that the acceptance certificate issued by an agent claiming to be a Japanese office has no legal effect whatsoever.
- Furthermore, you can only officially complete the enrollment process after receiving a Letter of Acceptance from the Romanian government. This Letter of Acceptance will be sent directly from the university to the email address you provided to the university during your application, so please be sure to manage that email address carefully. We have heard that some agents create email addresses and then charge exorbitant secondary support fees in exchange for receiving the Letter of Acceptance, but this document is actually issued to the successful applicant and sent through the university, so agents are not involved in this process. Please be aware of this.
What is required to be accepted into the Romanian Faculty of Medicine (English course)?

First, you will need proof of English proficiency at level B1 or B2.
I was enrolled in a pre-medical course at an agency that called itself the secretariat.
Is it impossible to be admitted to a university as a regular student without taking English language enhancement courses or medical subjects?
No. Unlike in Hungary, the steps to enter medical school in Romania are optional for international students; taking the required courses is entirely at the student's discretion.
MSA courses are proven programs that have been offered since 2015, but you will select the courses you need. *Some agents require you to take all courses → With MSA, there are no disadvantages or penalties whatsoever if you do not take the courses.
How many students entered university with MSA support?

In the last five years, from 2021 to 2025, there have been 35 people.
What is the success rate of university entrants supported by the MSA program?

With the exception of three students who voluntarily withdrew, all students advanced to the next grade. In 2022, the school also produced graduates from the National University of Carolda Vila .
Do you have any partner institutions where I can do a summer internship?

Yes. You can also do an internship at Japanese Medical Center AR TAS. We also have affiliated medical corporations in Japan. Please contact us if you are interested.
Will I receive a scholarship?
Some of the students we support are receiving this program (Japan Student Services Organization, etc.: https://www.jasso.go.jp/ryugaku/schoolarship_a/index.html ) .
MSA also has its own scholarship program.

If I enroll in medical school in Romania, will I be able to graduate?

Unless you're someone who doesn't study at all, or drops out due to illness or something similar, you'll almost certainly be able to graduate.
Is Med Student Abroad a legally registered corporation or a non-profit organization?

Yes. It is a company officially registered in Romania. Furthermore, its parent organization, Fundatia Medicina Europeana (a non-profit organization), is the only Japanese-affiliated medical foundation officially recognized by the Romanian government. It is also a member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania, which is comprised of organizations such as the Japanese Embassy and JETRO.
What is the deadline for submitting university applications? Also, by when do I need to prepare the necessary documents?

The National Grigor T. Popa University (located in the city of Iasi) usually starts accepting applications in March, but other universities have different application periods. For example, the University of Carol da Vila accepts applications submitted between April and June. Please do not rush your application. Compare and consider your options carefully. We at MSA will provide accurate information at our information sessions.
