Carol Davila University is a university located in Bucharest, the capital city. Its Faculty of Medicine was founded in 1867 by Carol Davila and Nicola Ecleczelescu, both French physicians. It is the oldest university in Romania. Its official English name, Carol Davila, consists of four faculties: Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Nursing.

Medical education in Târgu Mureș began in 1945 as part of the Faculty of Medicine within the University of Babes Bóliaí in Cluj-Napoca. Following the establishment of this new university, Decree No. 407/1945 stipulated that the faculties of linguistics, philosophy, law and economics, and natural sciences would begin operations in Cluj, while the Faculty of Medicine moved to Târgu Mureș.

Iuliu Hațieganu Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is the oldest medical education institution in Transylvania, originally founded in 1919 as the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Superior Dacia.

The Faculty of Medicine at Titu Maiorescu University is a private university located in the capital of Romania. It is internationally accredited by FAIMER (Fundamental Foundation for the Advancement of Medical Education and Research) and the WHO (World Health Organization). Since 2003, the faculty has been listed alongside other prominent Romanian medical faculties in the Philadelphia Medical Yearbook published in the United States.

In 1990, the Faculty of Medicine was established by government decision No. 225/07.03.1990.

8) Copy and certified translation of academic transcript (course record)
9) Certificate of completion of Romanian language preparation course, or language proficiency certificate if necessary
10) Medical certificate (written in an internationally recognized language). Documents certifying that the applicant does not have infectious diseases or illnesses that would make them unsuitable for their future occupation (such as hepatitis B or C, tuberculosis, or HIV).
11) Proof of payment of the application processing fee (non-refundable).
12) Consent form for processing personal data (Appendix 8).

The Victor Barbes Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Timișoara was established as a faculty of Western University based on Decree No. 660 issued and signed by His Majesty Michael I of Romania. The new Timișoara Faculty of Medicine opened on July 15, 1945, with 412 students in its first year.
