In 1990, the Faculty of Medicine was established by government decision No. 225/07.03.1990.

2026 Application Requirements:
1) Application Form for Admission to Ovidius University (Appendix 2a)
2) Application Form for Letter of Admission (Appendix 3) *All fields must be completed
3) Birth Certificate (copy and certified translation)
4) Copy of document proving permanent residence abroad (with certified translation into English)
5) Copy of passport
6) Copy and certified translation of Baccalaureate or equivalent diploma (certified by the competent authority of the issuing country)
7) For current graduates, certified copy of certificate proving passing the Baccalaureate examination (only documents issued in Romania)
8) Copy and certified translation of academic transcript (course record)
9) Certificate of completion of Romanian language preparation course, or language proficiency certificate if necessary
10) Medical certificate (written in an internationally recognized language). Documents certifying that the applicant does not have infectious diseases or illnesses that would make them unsuitable for their future occupation (such as hepatitis B or C, tuberculosis, or HIV).
11) Proof of payment of the application processing fee (non-refundable).
12) Consent form for processing personal data (Appendix 8).

Since 1992, English-language learning modules have been offered, and the Faculty of Pharmacy has modules in French. Since 2002, the Faculty of Medicine has been divided into two faculties: the Faculty of General Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry and Pharmacy.

Online English entrance examination is available (minimum B1 level)
Required documents:
1) Application form
2) Request for issuance of admission letter
3) High school diploma, translated into Romanian by a certified translator and notarized
4) High school transcript, translated into Romanian by a certified translator and notarized
5) Birth certificate (or family register extract), translated into Romanian by a certified translator and notarized
6) Health certificate, translated into Romanian by a certified translator and notarized
7) Copy of passport, valid for at least 6 months.

What are the steps involved in applying to and taking the entrance exam for university?

1. Contact Us   Reservation for the information session

Please fill out the inquiry form with information such as your age, gender, high school grade (or graduation year), high school transcript, subjects you studied in high school, and English test scores (if applicable), and send it to us.

2. Online Information Session

Upon receiving your inquiry form, we will contact you to schedule an online information session. During the session, we will explain the characteristics of the Romanian Faculty of Medicine, the required application documents, and answer any questions you may have. We will have a thorough discussion.

3. Please choose one of our services.

After thorough discussion, you will decide which medical schools you will apply to. You will then select a package of application support and preparation courses (you can also choose to only apply). You will sign the selected support agreement and return it to us via email. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online.

4. Entrance Exam Preparation and Application

You should begin the application process and enroll in an entrance exam preparation course (some universities also conduct entrance exams in English or science) according to the application deadlines and exam dates of the universities you wish to apply to (or multiple universities if applying to several).
